Notes: Abstract concepts such as loyalty have multiple possible Japanese translations, so the most common kanji (Chinese characters) are used. English proper nouns are written in katakana, the syllabary used to write loan words. English words with equivalent meanings in Japanese are written in kanji (Chinese characters). Otherwise, they are written in katakana. Japanese words are written in kanji. Hiragana endings usually are not shown, and plural English nouns ordinarily are written as singular Japanese nouns. Japanorama assumes no responsiblity for the orthography of any word. Japanorama implores you not to use these characters for tattoos. What may seem cool now will seem plain dumb 20 years hence. |
